Job Summary

 

The Regional Facilities Director implements and oversees all regional facility operation initiatives from inception through completion. This key leadership role will have oversight of day-to-day operations and budget accountability for all facilities, ensuring services are effectively delivered and facility needs are met including janitorial, general maintenance, engineering, infrastructure projects, HVAC, electrical, fire systems and sustainability initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations including facility operating / capital budgets
  • Creatively solve problems to ensure appropriate accountability is preserved along with maintaining efficient and effective operations
  • Responsible for the development / execution of annual business plans, financial budgets and forecasts, including cost reduction initiatives
  • Collaborate in the development of strategic planning with the leadership team to develop short- and long-range operating objectives, policies and programs
  • Prepares and ensures the adherence to company, industry and regulatory standards for all building systems
  • Verifies code compliance related to OSHA, state and local government regulations
  • Coordinates with local building / health departments, Fire Marshals, Architects, Engineers, landlords, builders, developers and contractors for the design, renovation, construction and maintenance of the company's facilities, including obtaining appropriate permits and certificates of occupancy
  • Coordinate and implement various capital improvements and maintenance projects including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and other mechanical system upgrades at all facilities
  • Responsible for the cost-effective management of service contracts. Responsible for all aspects of service delivery pursuant to these contracts, responsible for periodic and ongoing performance and financial review
  • Lead the Facility Outsource management team in the implementation of all maintenance programs relating to the interior and exterior conditions, appearance and operations of the facilities
  • Ensures the Facility Outsource team consistently provides positive and prompt response to requests from business unit partners and other engaged stakeholders
  • Responsible for coordinating the collection, analysis and reporting, of all statistical data to provide accurate and current assessment of the Facility Outsource operational objectives, cost savings, KPI's and SLA's
  • Manage (24 / 7) weather related / other crisis events to mitigate business disruptions and coordinates restoration efforts
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required
  • Manages Altice Building Engineering team
  • Directs daily activities
  • Participates in hiring, performance appraisals, corrective actions and coaching

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent knowledge
  • Ten to fifteen years of corporate facilities management experience
  • Management Skills

  • Technical/Functional Competencies
  • Comprehensive understanding of building systems, architectural and engineering practices
  • Strong knowledge of building facilities, construction, ASHRAE, OSHA, Life Safety and other regulatory / consensus standards
  • Technical proficiency with PC's, MS Office, e-mail, CAD and CMMS based systems
  • Ability to prepare and manage facilities related capital and operating budgets
  • Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems quickly
  • Comprehensive understanding of the latest trends in facilities management
  • Key Experiences/Achievements
  • LEED Green Associate certification preferred
  • IFMA, CFM certification preferred
  • Major facilities related capital project development and implementation
  • Personnel management experience necessary to direct large staffs and contract vendors
  • Ability to develop and implement facility related policy / procedures and standards

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $141,372.00 - $165,000 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
