Job Summary

The Social Media Specialist will collaborate closely with the Social Media Manager and Director to execute innovative social media and influencer campaigns. This role entails coordinating with programming partners, social media agencies, and various internal departments to implement comprehensive social strategies. The Specialist will assist in conceptualizing social media posts, creating engaging content, scheduling, and reporting on performance metrics. 

 

The ideal candidate will be versatile, adept at juggling multiple projects while supporting the overall marketing strategy. A strong creative flair, excellent grammar skills, and effective written communication are essential for success in this position. 

 

In collaboration with our Creative Services team, the Specialist will develop content for key social channels, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Additionally, the role may involve creating supplementary materials using tools like Canva, as well as capturing live content from events and store visits. The Specialist will also partner with our paid media team to ensure alignment between owned and paid channel strategies, all while enhancing the Optimum brand for both consumer and business services. 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Manage communications with programming partners (e.g., Max, Paramount, Universal) to secure marketing materials for our channels. 
  • Create engaging SEO articles in collaboration with the WebOps team and programming partners. 
  • Assist in maintaining Optimum’s social media editorial calendar by developing brand and product content for weekly posts. 
  • Support the management of quarterly influencer marketing campaigns and the social media advocacy program. 
  • Stay informed on trending social media topics to shape our content and owned channel strategies. 
  • Ideate and produce branded content from concept to completion, including scriptwriting, filming, editing, and graphic design. 
  • Oversee our YouTube channel by uploading videos on behalf of various teams within the organization. 
  • Coordinate social media asset requests with our in-house creative services team. 
  • Submit social media boost requests to our agency partners. 
  • Schedule, track, measure, and analyze the performance of social media content. 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. 
  • 2+ years of experience in social media marketing or a related role. 
  • Proficient in social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube. 
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics tools and content management systems. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of grammar. 
  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling content that engages audiences. 
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization strategies. 
  • Proficient in design tools such as Canva and video editing software preferred. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $64,260.00 - $105,570.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
