Job Summary

The Lead Event Representative is responsible for leading a team to strategically plan and execute events that enhance market penetration, drive sales, and elevate Optimum’s brand presence across targeted markets. The Lead Event Representative will act as a brand ambassador, fostering strong relationships with Event Team, customers, prospects and community partners, while leveraging events to achieve sales goals and identify new engagement opportunities that benefit both the community and Optimum.

Responsibilities

Strategic Event Planning
•    Develop and maintain a comprehensive event calendar in conjunction with Area Marketing that aligns with market opportunities and sales initiatives.
•    Recommend the appropriate offers, tactics and campaigns to ensure effective execution across various event types.
•    Build and maintain relationships with local partners, including community leaders, government officials, and event vendors to facilitate successful events.

Team Leadership
•    Lead and mentor a team of Event Representatives, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
•    Demonstrate the key skills and behaviors necessary to be an effective Event Rep
•    Oversee pre-event planning, resource allocation, and on-site execution to ensure events meet sales objectives.
•    Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure alignment and effective communication on event strategies.
•    Develop coaching plans to enhance execution standards and improve team performance.


Performance Analysis
•    Monitor and analyze event performance metrics, focusing on lead generation, sales conversions, and return on investment.
•    Ensure sales lead opportunities are captured and responded in a timely and to effective manner
•    Prepare and present reports to senior management, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
•    Implement strategies to optimize event effectiveness and achieve overall business objectives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
•    Partner with Retention, B2B, Field Operations, Sales Channels and other functional teams to maximize event ROI and enhance sales funnel management.
•    Communicate project milestones, results, and insights to stakeholders and leadership to ensure transparency and alignment.

Market Intelligence
•    Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform event strategies.
•    Identify new event opportunities and innovative approaches to engage target audiences effectively.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
•    Proven experience in event management, sales operations, or a related area.
•    Strong leadership and team management skills.
•    Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical abilities.
•    Proficiency in CRM software and data analysis tools.
•    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•    Background in sales, telecommunications, or community engagement preferred.
o    Ability to walk and stand for extended periods during events.
o    Ability to move equipment, supplies and materials to set up events

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $58,738.00 - $96,499.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
