Job Summary

We are in search of an experienced and motivated Manager of Procurement reporting to our Director, Procurement Network Services and Transformation and working cross-functionally with the Business Units and Executive team to categorize spend and deliver measurable cost savings, service level improvements, and quality of vendor engagement that can be a competitive advantage to Altice USA as the company grows. This person will play a key role in the framing, scoping, execution, and implementation of a standardized procurement program that optimize spend, unit economics, and capital expenditure commitments that propels the business activities across the organization. The candidate will have experience working in an environment of constant change at a high pace and demanding timelines. This position will collaborate very closely with key stakeholders at all levels and their designated sponsors for their spend priorities.

The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, communicate effectively, able to execute on multiple projects and able to identify solutions to complex problems. He or she must have a positive attitude to set the tone with cross functional teams, facilitate solutions at an Enterprise-wide level and able to navigate through competing objectives to drive to outcomes while partnering with Executive leaders to facilitate trade-offs that optimize outcomes in a timely manner. 

Context:
This role is responsible for providing the commercials and framework to optimize the value of construction investments, Plant Operations and Field Operations and the bids received from 3rd party vendors. Identifying commodity vs. strategic aspects of 3rd party relationships that ensure the right leverage points are negotiated into the contractual terms and that the partnership serves its purpose for the organizational goals overall. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with key business stakeholders to develop requirements and identify key savings opportunities through consolidation, transformation, and vendor rationalization.
  • Industry Knowledge, Best Practices, Pricing and Negotiation Experience – with Locate Services, Transport Network, Poles, Utilities and Tools.
  • Drive Market Leading Innovation and Best Practices from our existing and new vendor-partner relationships.
  • Mitigate Corporate Risk and improve overall Risk Posture – Safety, Vendor On boarding.
  • Lead RFx activities including managing NDAs, responses/communications and develop scorecard evaluations to enable final vendor selection. 
  • Reviewing bids from potential suppliers of goods and services, and making purchase decisions based on price, quality, and other factors.
  • Work closely with Altice USA Legal to draft and review all contracts from contract development to execution to ensure compliance with internal controls and policies. 
  • Conduct QBRs with top suppliers to ensure vendor strategy and performance score cards align with contract SLAs and supply chain initiatives. 
  • Act as a liaison for vendor escalations and facilitate issue resolution on behalf of the business. 
  • Create presentations to help drive executive deal reviews by effectively communicating ROIs, KPIs, risks and timelines.
  • Negotiate best in class pricing with vendors to ensure the best value for money while maintaining profitability for the organization.
  • Partnering with legal and finance to ensure the Procure to Pay processes are aligned with internal policy including signatory levels, contracting terms and conditions, and budget alignment.
  • Developing long-term strategies for sourcing products and services, including identifying potential suppliers, assessing their capabilities, and managing the procurement process.
  • Some tactical responsibilities include savings reporting, CPFR reports, contract compliance updates in addition to order/shipment tracking and status updates. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required), MBA a plus.
  • 7+ years of functional procurement / supply chain experience.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives involving Senior leader sponsorship.
  • Oracle Source to Pay experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the Cable Construction industry.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and challenging working environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc).
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to get into the weeds.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and business partnering skills.
  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and mindful of deadlines.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills with the ability to balance numerous diverse priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • General knowledge of contract structure and key terms.
